Ramblings of the Three T's

I love reading my sister-in-law's blog! It helps keep me current on the happenings of my beautiful nieces and my handsome nephew. Recently, she was sharing some of the sweet things my 8-year-old niece says. It made me yearn for sweetness in my life... (Don't read too much into that -- there will be no more Parkers living under this roof!)

Unlike the sweet things my niece says, T1 says things like:

"MOM, the music you are listening to is going to ruin my reputation!"

"Talk to the hand."

"MOM, kids don't do that anymore!"

"When I grow up, I'm going to get a job that pays me a lot of money so I can buy my kids the things they want so they'll be happy." (...and just what was he insinuating by that statement? UGH.)

All that aside, T1 does say some sweet things. The other day he told me that I shouldn't worry so much about how I look because God made me beautiful. Also, he still insists that we say our bedtime saying even though he's a little old for it. It goes like this:
T1: "Sleep tight, termite"
Me: "Stay warm, unicorn" (Unicorn is his school's mascot.)
T1: "Snuggle up, buttercup"
Me: "Think I might, dynamite"
T1: "Good night"
Me: "Good night"

T2 has started putting together two-word sentences. The first one I heard was "Mommy funny." How cute is that! I thought it was adorable until I scolded him tonight for getting out of bed for the 100th time and he smiled at me and said "Mommy funny". I have no impact on this child, I swear.

Today T3 was trying to get my attention and he said "ma ma" for the first time. Coincidence or not, it melted my heart. I guess I do have some sweetness in my household. :)

I probably post too many pictures, but I decided to share a couple more. These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, but I think they are so funny because T2 is crying in one and T3 is crying in the other. Hope you like 'em!

I'm off to watch Grey's Anatomy. Good night!

i love the rhyming bedtime saying. i might have to start that and throw in "i can't said the ant, why not teapot."

that pic of travis crying is hilarious. it's those kinds of pictures that i like to put in frames.
